As your Magnolia Realtor my goal is for you to feel I am the best qualified realtor to represent you with the sale or purchase of your Magnolia home.

One constant in Real Estate is change. Technology, laws, Northwest Multiple Listing Service rules, contracts and marketing opportunities are constantly changing. This is why I spend four times more then Washington State requires in the class room to keep up on these issues.

I know the Magnolia market because I have lived here all my life. When my parents first moved to Magnolia their milk was delivered by the Magnolia Dairy Farm whose cows grazed in the grassy fields around Catherine Blaine Elementary and trolley car tracks came out Government Way to the east gate of Fort Lawton (Discovery Park). My parents bought their first home in Magnolia for $1,800. The three lots next door sold for $200 each. Buildable lots now sell for anywhere from $250,000 to $1,200,000. My milk is still delivered to the house, but by Smith Brothers Farms. Some things stay the same while others change.
I attended Magnolia Elementary, Catherine Blaine Jr. High, Queen Anne High School and graduated from the University of Washington School of Business with a concentration in Marketing. I am an Associate Broker/Commercial Broker, Licensed Real Estate Instructor, Volunteer Services Board member at University of Washington Hospital, member of Magnolia Chamber of Commerce and member of Magnolia Historical Society.

To know the Magnolia market you must go inside homes as they come on the market to see their condition and look for any upgrades in plumbing, wiring, heating, bathrooms, kitchens, paint and finish. Homes might look similar on the outside but can be totally different when it comes to value on the inside. I know what buyers are looking for and can make recommendations, days or years before your home comes on the market regarding the most cost effective improvements that will bring the maximum return when you are ready to sell. I am always available to discuss any home questions.

Negotiating a real estate transaction from start to finish draws on all of ones skills. It can be stressful at times, which is why you want someone you feel is honest, loyal, trustworthy and well qualified, but also someone with whom you feel comfortable. After successful negotiations, I want to appear like a duck moving smoothly through the water, yet my feet are moving rapidly to ensure a smooth and successful close.

Call me for a complementary market analysis if you are thinking of selling your home.
Sincerely,
Greg Shaw
